A look at the past week in photography in the Bow Valley as it appeared in the pages of the Rocky Mountain Outlook.

A judicial review was granted by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta on the defeated Three Sisters Village area structure plan.

The majority of Canmore has either had their water safely tested or is in the process of being flushed since the boil water advisory was announced July 29.

“It's still under investigation. Our focus and priority in the last few days has really been public health protection and ensuring the quality of the water in the Canmore system. We isolated the pipe quickly on Thursday afternoon (July 29) and really focused on flushing and moving water that might have got into the system from that pipe and moving it out through the Canmore system and testing the water to make sure it is safe. Our priority is the safety of the drinking water for our customers.”

CANMORE – More areas of Canmore are seeing the boil water advisory be lifted as the water system is continuing to be flushed. In separate media releases, the Town stated the boil water advisory has also ended for the Benchlands area.

“Affordable housing is critical. … The vital homes are vital to our community. The last two terms of council, we really brought a lot to the market and we’re continuing to do that. It’s essential for the community.”

In a media release, the Town stated the boil water advisory has ended for Dead Man’s Flats, Harvie Heights, Palliser Trail, the Canmore Nordic Centre, Three Sisters Resort, Silvertip, Cougar Creek, Peaks of Grassi, portions of Rundleview and portions of the Homesteads.

A man was killed after being struck by a train early Tuesday morning in Canmore, police said.

A stretch of road where undermining exists is getting necessary repairs to help stabilize sections of Spray Lakes Road.

“Some people see Canmore as a quaint little holiday town, but we have all the same challenges and risks you’ll find in a major metro centre just scaled down. … We’re seeing a big uptick in serious medical calls. Call volumes really come down to growth in the community, people spending more time in their second homes and the uptick in visitorship."
