LETTER: So, here we are in the middle of a housing shortage/crisis, and the YWCA wants to remove 42 affordable accommodation units?

LETTER: Sadly, in the future, we will have to find a new location for our holidays.

LETTER: When it comes to protecting human rights, like those of the least-advantaged who need such protections, don’t ever count any of the UCP into the protection rights are supposed to accord every individual.

LETTER: I think more people enjoying the mountains is a good thing, and there are thousands of places to do this in Banff where you’ll be the only person there.

LETTER: For what it’s worth, we don’t just educate our guests on how to behave in the alpine, we also clean up the area ourselves every year, pay a Bow Valley Living Wage to all our staff and provide 100 per cent free rides to locals, every day of summer.

LETTER: This road is now very dangerous. Something more needs to be done to make this road safer. Some overhead signage? Rumble strips? Or even better yet, how about finally making this road for local vehicles and buses only?

LETTER: Let’s give more opportunities for Canmore locals to come together in family-focused events that are free. Let’s celebrate being community members of Canmore.

LETTER: Why move the problem when you can remove the problem? It won’t solve the overcrowding but at least it won’t be a contributing factor.

LETTER: To take the climate actions we must, it’s time we listen to and support Canada’s Indigenous peoples.

LETTER: Town Council are looking to hold part-time residents – with limited voice or vote – responsible for provincial and town-wide issues since housing is a provincial responsibility.
