A fee increase for Canmore’s business licence registry – the first one in nearly a decade – was given the greenlight by council.

Another step in the Town of Canmore’s vacancy tax will see potential steps move forward to have tourist homes purchase a licence under the municipal business registry.

“We believe the requested action is beyond our jurisdiction,” said Banff Mayor Corrie DiManno.
