“We’ve seen visitors are more than willing to pay to park in our town. VPP has not deterred people from coming to Banff and I think it’s enhanced their experience in reducing time driving around looking for parking spots."

“These four locations are really strategically located and provide emergency phone access that will connect people through to 911 in an emergency."

“I do think it’s a provincial responsibility in terms of these costs, but given that we won’t see it in the near future from the province I think we should move ahead ourselves and organize another vaccination clinic.”

“Given the COVID-19 rates in the valley, we remain deeply concerned with the increasing numbers and our capacity to keep classes and schools open for your children, due to staffing shortages," said CRPS superintendent Chris MacPhee.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has told the new minister responsible for Parks Canada, Steven Guilbeault, that he must invest in existing national parks and create new ones, and the new tourism minister, Randy Boissonault, to develop a national trails tourism strategy.
