The Canmore Eagles opened their 2021-22 Alberta Junior Hockey League season with a pair of exhibition games on Sept. 5 and 6 at the Canmore Recreation Centre.

The Canmore Highland Games returned after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Canmore Rocky Mountain Half Marathon, 10 km and 5 km is celebrating its return from COVID-19 in style.

“When it comes to visitor accommodation or other multi-unit developments there’s been a concern about there not being enough parking and part of the flex we’re in right now is we’re trying to change people’s behaviour and get them to a place where they’re using active modes of transportation. There’s going to be a bit of an uncomfortable period where new developments have less parking, but it’s ultimately to encourage that mode shift to active modes of transportation.”
