Five developers and Bow Valley Builders and Developers Association (BOWDA) formally gave their appeal to the Land and Property Rights Tribunal on the Town of Canmore's off-site levy bylaw amendment.

LETTER: What would another spa and hotel, built for wealthy tourists, contribute to our community?

“That can be a real barrier and we’ve had that with several employees who want to come, but to get in the housing market is hard.”

CANMORE – Several Town of Canmore policies and bylaws could soon be amended to begin the process of phasing out tourist home designation in the mountain community.

MPC concluded the proposed bylaw changes to parking requirements, residential districts and residential density work together as critical steps toward addressing the housing shortage of between 700-1,000 housing units.

“Visitors wanting to see Lake Louise and Moraine Lake should plan ahead and secure reservations on Parks Canada shuttles, Roam Public Transit, or with a private commercial transportation provider."
