RCMP advised motorists to expect delays with a temporary planned closure of a roughly 16-km stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in Yoho National Park near Field in both directions on Wednesday for avalanche control work.

“This will likely be the most challenging operating budget the municipality will have faced since incorporation.”

“She was happy to see us and I was so happy to see her,” said a relieved Logan Bennet, the handler of search and rescue dog Leroy.

“We have seen a big increase in people who worked in the service sector, be it hotels, restaurants, retail, who had time to reflect on their work and they’re calling us and saying they want to work with a career coach to look at their options."

“If someone does pass away, I don’t think you should necessarily have to pay more depending on what time of year that person passes away,” said Coun. Grant Canning.

“If you want to maximize transit and ridership, meet environmental goals and address congestion, you have to work towards free and frequent transit,” said Coun. Grant Canning.

“It is really designed for a smaller operator that’s going through a change of use process and does not have the means to construct a single additional bedroom,” said Darren Enns, director of planning and development.

“Tobacco places an enormous burden on our health, our quality of life, and our healthcare system,” said Les Hagen executive director of ASH.
