“Mill rate and tax requirement should not be confused. When there’s an increase in tax requirement, it does not always mean there will be a corresponding mill rate increase. Based on the assessment figures I have seen so far, we are not anticipating a need for a mill rate increase unless it’s council’s decisions to do so until April or May when we discuss the mill rates.”

“The need for one parking stall per unit is correct if the unit is only accommodating up to four people, but if the unit is accommodating up to 10 people then I do see there could be a need for further parking stalls being required."

“The continuity of service is important and it makes sense to wait until there’s a new CAO to negotiate the terms with the new cost that we will be incurring as a municipality with the new fire hall coming on."
