The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir Project has been approved by the Natural Resources Conservation Board.

“The intention of this report is to provide means for agencies and leadership to determine their community’s needs, as well as the necessary responses and potential avenues to prevent or reduce homelessness and housing instability in the Bow Valley."

“Long distance biking is a growing trend and we wanted to be able to provide a safe place for people to camp if they haven’t made their destination of either Spray West or down into Peter Lougheed."

A look at the National Indigenous Peoples Day events happening around the Bow Valley on June 21 and throughout this summer.

“It’s not just about looking at achievement, but looking at the whole child which is part of the CRPS vision. We look at wellness, mental health along with academics and ensuring we’re providing supports students need. It’s the whole child approach."

“We are missing the international travel badly. Until the borders are open, it will be a very tough road to recovery. … We are very hopeful for next year that international travellers will come back. A lot of travellers are waiting for the border to open to be able to travel again.”

The last week in the Bow Valley saw additional public health restrictions lifted as pre-COVID-19 life slowly began to repair as tourists flocked to the valley, patios reopened and residents were out-and-about.

The Calgary Region Airshed Zone – which includes Banff, Canmore and the MD of Bighorn – received an award from the Alberta Emeral Foundation recently for work it does to monitor and educate people about air quality in the region.
