TELUS would like to respond to Mr. Gigon’s letter to the editor of Nov. 15, in which he states that independent measurements show a quite different result from the radio frequency (RF) power levels calculated by TELUS. On the contrary, Mr.

Editor: Mr. Gigon’s suggestion that TELUS reduced the power from the cell tower during our Nov. 28 measurements of various radio signals in and around LGMS is completely untrue and deeply offensive.

Editor: The recent announcement that Roam, the Bow Valley transit system, is now in operation between Banff and Canmore, is great news. Reducing the impact vehicle use has on the environment is always good.

Editor: Thank you to many companies and individuals and caring people in our community (too numerous to mention here) who donated their time and money toward a new waterproof prosthesis.

Editor: With the Three Sisters development rearing its head once again, the Town of Canmore is faced with the important decision about how to incorporate this development while allowing for our wildlife and human communities to thrive.

Editor: I too believe that “bison belong in Banff National Park.” Especially after hearing Wes Olson talk about buffalo ecology at the Whyte Museum, Nov. 15.

Editor: When the news broke that the Provincial Conservative Party will have to go into debt to pay for its latest infrastructure projects, I couldn’t help but think of what is going on here in Canmore and how we are contributing to that debt.
