The past year was a busy year for residents of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, the MD of Bighorn and Kananaskis Country.

MORLEY, Alta. — A First Nation in Alberta is turning to its youth to help spread the message to older members about the dangers of COVID-19.

“We’re not just creating a detachment – we’re bettering the service that we provide out there in more ways than just responding to complaints," said Cpl. Troy Savinkoff, interim commander of the new detachment.

"I am excited to lend my experience as an artist coming to Banff Centre, and as a member of the local community to this role on the board of governors.”

“It’s quite an honour for everyone here,” Crawford said. “It felt really, really good because it’s such a team effort. It’s not just one person, it’s the whole nation."

“We have done everything possible to keeper numbers down, our active, our positive cases down and to make sure we are super conscious and super conscientious about doing things that will make sure that people feel safe and are safe,” Evans said.

“They can have a chance to increase their tools— Driving that’s a need that’s essential especially because we live in a. Remote community,” Young said. “Driving is something we do almost every day.”
