A 26-year-old Stoney Nakoda woman was found dead as the result of a single-vehicle rollover on the Trans-Canada Highway Wednesday (July 29) night. An RCMP investigation into the incident is ongoing.

RCMP are still investigating after a 32-year-old Stoney Nakoda man was shot in the foot on Tuesday (July 28) morning. Two suspects are in custody and another individual was arrested on outstanding warrants.

"We recognize how difficult masking would be, especially in lower elementary grades, which is why we are not relying on any single health measure to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the school setting," said Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating 13-year-old Tianna "TT" Medicine Shield.

“My hope is that when we get more people to understand who we are as people and what our beliefs are, and when they see it from that point of view, maybe some of the world’s troubles will begin to fade away.”
