A German tourist who was shot in the head while driving along Highway 1A west of Morley earlier this month will have "life-altering" injuries, according to the RCMP.

COCHRANE – The Cochrane man RCMP were questioning in relation to a shooting incident on the 1A Highway last week was released on Saturday (Aug. 4) and has not been charged.

MORLEY - A house fire west of Morley on Tuesday night (July 10) destroyed a home forcing its occupants to flee. Firefighters from Exshaw received a call for the fire around 10 p.m.

MORLEY – Residents in the Morley community will see all services provided by Stoney Health Centre amalgamated under one roof in the next year or two. The centre will expand in size to nearly double its current square footage.

MORLEY – Mothers with newborn babies on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation Reserve will receive a bag of books to help with early literacy skills, thanks to a new program launched by Marigold Library System.

STONEY NAKODA – Five students from Nakoda Elementary School were officially introduced into the dancing circle during an initiation powwow held on June 22.
