LETTER: Our town and national park face a huge decision about Liricon’s proposal for the railway lands.

“It’s a double-edged sword. Yes, we’re looking at a very high cost in order to deliver this service to our community, which is affected by our past decisions and regulatory changes, but ultimately it means as a community we’re cleaning up our mess and not making it someone else’s problem downstream.”

“This is the developer getting some of what they want or 75 per cent of what they want and it shows we’re working with our developers but also being responsible to our residents.”

“I think we need to understand the effectiveness of our current situation before we can begin to improve it. We have to know how we’re doing; we have to know where the gaps are, we need to establish that type of information before we can move forward."

LETTER: There have been many thoughtful responses in the Outlook to both Blair Richardson’s unpleasant public letter and Three Sisters Mountain Village Properties Limited (TSMVPL) platitudinous official statement.

LETTER: Shockwaves will be felt tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow if we’re intimidated by fear today.

LETTER: I read with interest the two-page advertisement on pages A36 and 37 in the Nov. 16 edition of the Outlook.

LETTER: As pessimistic as it sounds, corporate money coupled with a fleet of lawyers overruns conservation, sustainability and community goals a vast majority of the time in a vast majority of locations.

“They received partial occupancy on what was previously called the Inns of Banff."

“[The land swap] is now completed, so we are able to start finalizing these plans and likely locking in on prices rather than continuing to watch costs escalate while we wait for land to build the shop on.”
