Man airlifted after rollover east of Canmore

Two men are in hospital after a single vehicle rollover near Morley on Sunday (Sept. 21) that left one in critical condition.

Cochrane RCMP said the passenger, 21, from Morley, was ejected from the vehicle and the driver, 30, also from Morley, was trapped inside after going off road travelling east on the off ramp at Highway 1 and Morley Road.

RCMP and emergency services responded to the crash at 6:45 p.m.

The passenger was airlifted to Calgary Foothills Medical Centre by STARS ambulance with life threatening injuries and the driver was taken to Foothills by ground EMS. The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries, said RCMP.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor, said RCMP.
