The Global Water Futures program recently celebrated World Water Day on March 22. Locally, researchers from the University of Saskatchewan have also created a highly accurate computer model of the snowpack in the Bow Valley, which should lead to better management of water as a resource in the prairie provinces.

“We know it won’t be a silver bullet, but I do believe it will be important in protecting jobs, keeping businesses open and making sure tourism not only drives our economy, but grows.”

A man was killed in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 1 Friday morning after his vehicle rolled over and entered the nearby field, Cochrane RCMP said.
