“Good grief! Jasper National Park has an obligation to do what it can to prevent caribou extirpation. We need them to commit to reducing human access pressures."

A decision on whether to not to remove a gondola terminus from an area redevelopment plan for the Banff train station lands is up for discussion and debate at a Banff town council meeting on Sept. 13.

“I am disappointed by many Conservative MPs, but some of them deserve more … ire from their constituents than others, and one of them is the MP of this riding, Blake Richards. He’s the whip of Erin O’Toole and he’s carrying O’Toole’s water out here."

As voters prepare to head to the polls for a federal election on Sept. 20, the current governing party has unveiled its candidate for the Banff-Airdrie riding.

“Losing one grizzly bear, irrespective of whether it’s a male or female, is one too many, but it’s that much more of an impact when it’s a reproducing female."

Blake Richards, the member of Parliament for the Conservative Party and the incumbent the Banff-Airdrie riding, submitted his nomination to run in the upcoming federal election on Sept. 20.

“Finally, the day has come when justice has been done and this mountain will move forward. The renaming is especially significant to the Stoney Nakoda Elders who have endured years and years of disrespect to their gender. I know they would be proud on this moment.”

KANANASKIS – A grizzly bear that charged at a cyclist along the Smith Dorrien Highway near Buller Pond has prompted Alberta Parks to issue a warning for the area.

“The intent of the number of dwellings at this property, in the context of the land use district, was to provide for the development into duplex. I think this is consistent.”
