Parking problem in park

When I moved to Banff in 1985, Calgary had a population of around 500,000. Now it is a million plus. They are one of our largest visitor markets, if not the largest. Since 1985 I do not think available parking has increased to the same degree as our drive-in tourists have.

This trend has been predicted for many years, so parking problems should not seem a surprise.

Two summers ago, several other cars and mine received tickets for parking on the access road to Fireside on the 1A. The two spots at the entrance where taken. Not surprising being a long weekend. Parks were nice enough to make them ‘warning’ for first offense.

My query here is do the hundreds of vehicles parked on the Sunshine access road to go ski/board receive tickets too? Will I recieve a ticket this summer at Fireside or will I be shown some leniency too? Can someone answer this for me?
