Residents of Valleyview in Banff are about to lose the left turning lane into Valleyview when driving up Mountain Avenue.
The plan for the new downhill express lane means that those driving uphill will have to stop – blocking all traffic behind them – and wait in the single lane to cross the two lanes of traffic coming down from Sulphur Mountain.
Our feedback on the plan was clearly provided to the Town during consultations last summer. The safety concerns for being rear ended while waiting to cross were clearly acknowledged.
We hope this issue can be properly addressed.
