Editor:

I am writing to commend the Outlook for its commitment to journalistic integrity and the principles of free speech, particularly in light of the recent letter to the editor titled "Outlook, letter writers too 'woke'" published in the Feb. 15 edition.

In a time when dissenting voices are often marginalized or dismissed, it is refreshing to see the Outlook provide a platform for commentary on its own practices. The decision to print a letter that questioned the newspaper's journalistic integrity demonstrates a commitment to transparency and accountability that is essential for maintaining public trust in the media.

Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a potential misunderstanding regarding the author of the letter, Karen Greene from Banff. It has been brought to my attention there may be confusion that myself, Karen Greene, associated with Canmore and RE/MAX Alpine Realty, wrote the piece mentioned above.

I wish to emphasize that the views expressed by Karen Greene from Banff are solely her own and should not be attributed to Karen Greene from Canmore or her professional or personal affiliations.

Karen Greene,

Canmore
