I would love to see a palliative care centre in the Bow Valley that would be available to all that have a need for it. I feel the most logical and cost-effective site would be on the land adjoining the Canmore General Hospital. It is a beautiful and easily accessible site.
It would have medical assistance close by when needed, and could possibly share staffing and needed equipment with the hospital. Hopefully, Alberta Health Services could be lobbied by the towns of Banff and Canmore to support and help fund it. To me, it is the most practical solution to providing palliative care to the valley.
