If the half a dozen leash law offenders I see needlessly putting the comfort and safety of law-abiding park users and already-struggling park wildlife at risk on a daily basis are the responsible and caring ones, I’d hate to know what the irresponsible and uncaring ones are doing.

‘Anyone who uses their brain a little’ and knows that a dog must be exercised should also know that national parks are not dog parks and that if owning a dog is ‘critical,’ then so is residing in a place with a dog park.

If I want to buy an apple, I go to a grocery store. I don’t go to a hardware store and insist that it sell apples.

A question for you, Ms. Selimos: Have you fully considered all the facts? How many studies on the impacts of dogs on wildlife have you read? I can supply you with some if you’re interested.
