LETTER: I'm not looking to create a divisive issue – like the world needs more – but a question to all of us who either call the mountains home, visit regularly or just pass through: how can we let folks know it's not okay to discard cigarette butts on the trails?

“We did hear about the wildlife fencing through the Canmore area that was announced earlier this year by the province, but all the additional pieces on the 1A were great, positive news to hear when this new website came out in early June.”

A push to look at the formula for the province’s education tax is being made by the Town of Canmore after it was hit with one of the highest percentage increases in Alberta.

LETTER: It's hard to believe there's going to be another three years of this.

“It’s a hunt that is disguised as defending Alberta families against these ‘mean’ bears.”

“We hear quite regularly about the physical and mental benefits of gardening and just being in the garden.”

It's going to be hot outside for the next eight to 10 days.

The model aims to “create a level playing field” for developers to fairly fund necessary infrastructure to support anticipated growth in the community.

RCMP say the call was reported around 6 p.m. and a fire crew is on scene.
