The Mountain Wave Classic, the only River Surfing Competition in Western Canada, was held in Kananaskis Country on Saturday (Aug. 24). River surfers showcase their best tricks on the Mountain wave, a standalone wave in the heart of the Rockies.

Canmore United has reclaimed the league championship. The top team won the Bow Valley Soccer League's grandest prize following the final game of the season against Banff Springs ended in a 2-2 draw.
