The Whyte Museum, Town of Banff and Bow Valley Food Alliance hosted the Future of the Bison Indigenous dinner and conversation at the Catharine Robb Whyte Building's Pioneer Room in Banff on Thursday (Nov. 14).

Banff Public Library hosts the special edition of Once Upon an Alphabet Diwali Celebration on Saturday (Nov. 2). Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights and the dates of the festival are based on the Hindu lunar calendar, in late October or early November.

Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy hosts a “Slime the Principal” challenge on Thursday (Oct. 31). Slime the Principal challenge event brings the school community together for some Halloween fun and encourages donations for an important cause. OLS students, families, and community members gather non-perishable food items throughout the month for the local food bank and Morley food bank.

A variety of organizations and service providers participate to provide information about the programs, services, and resources for families with kids aged up to six at the Early Years Fair at the Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre on Saturday (Oct. 19).

Banff Community High School hosts the senior girls tournament on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 18-19).
