CALGARY — The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating a police involved incident that left two people dead in Calgary Saturday evening. City police say they received a report of an erratic driver in southwest Calgary around 7 p.m.

RED DEER, Alta. — A peace officer in central Alberta was seriously injured when an SUV allegedly veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the officer's vehicle.

Alberta is reporting 1,590 new COVID-19 cases and 13 additional deaths. Nine of the deaths were in the Edmonton zone, and five of them are linked with an outbreak at the Hardisty Care Centre.
