As with thousands of other people, we are very concerned that a walkway as proposed by Brewster Canada is even being considered by Parks Canada.
Our national parks have been designated over the years to preserve our lands, wildlife and heritage areas. How can Parks Canada consider such a proposal? Perhaps if one has enough money you can buy anything? Where is the Canada National Parks Act, and why hasn’t the Act been considered?
This proposal should be stopped and not be allowed to proceed, regardless of how much money Brewster Travel Canada is waving in front of Parks Canada. The U.S. National Parks Service wouldn’t even allow American-Owned VIAD (owner of Brewster Travel Canada) to install the their Sky Walk in the Grand Canyon National Park.
Our parks are here for our safety, preservation and protection, and how dare Parks Canada take that away from us Canadians.
There are many other areas throughout our great mountains where Brewster can install their “walkway,” it does not need to be in a national park, and there is absolutely no reason for it.
We ask that this letter of concern be our official complaint regarding this matter, and we sincerely hope that Parks Canada steps up and stops this destructive plan.
