I appreciated the letter before Christmas from John Everts, as well as the last two editorials detailing concerns with the fiscal responsibility of our Town council and administration.
I am very concerned they are spending far too much, driving taxes up and making this community unaffordable for many. It’s a fact, the school boards struggle every year with decreased enrolment as families move away.
Town council and administration need to understand that the people who live here, move here or vacation here, do not come for buildings, they come here for the mountains and wilderness. Affordability and a balanced budget should be a priority.
