The April 13 edition of the Outlook had a letter “special tourism designation bill vital to local economy” from Hugh Hancock.

He commented that “finally, after about 20 years of unsuccessful lobbying for a special tourism designation similar to resort municipality status...”

Who was in government for the majority of this time? If so valued by the current UCP government, why wasn't Banff-Kananaskis MLA Miranda Rosin’s Bill 208 presented years earlier and supported as a public bill rather than as a private member's bill and passed?

In a letter to the editor in the April 6 edition of the Outlook, Cathy Harrop stated that “the New Democrat Party researched and were ready to prepare a similar bill during their tenure in government.”

We've received three flyers recently extolling the virtues of our current UCP government – public funds used for pre-electioneering!

So, election time, Bow Valley voters, ponder whether Miranda deserves your support.
