This is a question to the Town of Canmore’s elected and non-elected personnel.
Why, after less than one-and-a-half years, $80 000 budgeted for the tourism task force, thousands of volunteer hours, and a huge public engagement, am I and many others in the community being asked to participate in a 25-minute Ipsos poll for the Town asking questions that pretty much echo those from the 2021 Tourism Task Force public engagement?
It seems to me that our Town would be better served by our council and administration actually listening to and acting on a yearlong, in-depth consultation rather than asking the same questions over again one year later. Possibly they are hoping for different answers?
