Editor:

I’ve lived in the Bow Valley for almost all of my adult life, and have voted in every federal and provincial election.

In provincial elections, I generally vote for whichever candidate I feel will work the hardest to represent their constituents. Not their personal agenda, not their party’s political agenda, not to change the world, but what’s best for the majority of their constituents. Even when Miranda Rosin’s UCP party position has differed from the majority of her constituents she has clearly stood up to challenge her own party for us.

She’s generally easy to reach and responds clearly, without obfuscation. She’s been active in every issue, and has not been afraid to address her critics. I’ve never seen her mean-spirited towards detractors or personal attacks, just honest, positive, and a great ambassador in promoting our valley. Plus, as our advocate within the provincial government, she’s got the most in a wide range of benefits for our riding from any provincial government that I’ve seen in a very long time.

I’ve seen a lot of MLAs come and go, but I’ve never seen a local MLA work as hard as Miranda Rosin.

Andrew Whittock,
