As with every election these days, the political spin-masters launch salvos of attack ads at their opposition, while pretending to halo their own candidates and platform.

Bullies only demean others to feel better about themselves. While the pretenders say they’ll stick to the truth, one person’s honesty is nothing more than someone else’s lie. Using tawdry narrative, ominous overtones and implied scary music, we the voting public are supposed to make informed decisions based on 20-second audio/visual soundbites and more than questionable claims in print ads.

I can only wish for more enlightened times when the Rhinoceros Party – also known as the Rhino-sore-ass party – still ran candidates. Instead of accusatory finger pointing, you always knew where they stood on everything, smiles and a belly laugh included.
