I wonder if all options to resolve this have really been explored. There is another gym right here in the Bow Valley, at The Banff Centre, that wouldn’t have required any taxpayer money to use. Sure, maybe it is not the Vsion but it wouldn’t have parents driving to Calgary being just 20 minutes away.
It is interesting that the Town of Canmore will seemingly do anything to keep an incredibly small but extremely vocal percentage of the population happy. “Kill our climbing wall,” Mr. Miskow? I hope there are more plans in place to make this section of the recreation centre a success because if the Town really believes that inconveniencing 15 climbers for a couple of months will doom the climbing wall, it is already in big trouble.
