Alberta Beach Campground

Have you heard of Alberta Beach? You don’t have to read any further if you have, because you’re probably already there. If you haven’t had the pleasure, we’re so pleased to introduce you to this beautiful spot. Alberta Beach is a village in central Alberta, just west of Edmonton. It’s located on the shore of the gorgeous Lac Ste. Anne, so anyone who loves a little beach side lounging will love this place. Alberta Beach Family R.V. Park & Campground is a lovely campsite that sits right near the lake itself.

The campground offers lovely, spacious camping sites, full hook-ups for RVs and trailers, firewood, washrooms with showers, ice, and fire pits. You can choose from full-service, power and water, or no-service sites. Tents are more than welcome at this campground. The site prices are based on two adults and two children, and you can pay an additional $5 per extra person. Around the campground, you’ll find things to do, including access to the boat launch, parks, the market, and more. There’s a cook shack, an office where you can ask questions or look for guidance, and everything you need for an amazing trip with the whole family. Ol' MacDonald’s Resort

You are about to fall in love with this place! Ol’MacDonald’s Resort is located on the south shore of Buffalo Lake. There are campsites for both tents and RVs and fully, partially, and unserviced sites. Most of the sites on the location are nice and private, enclosed by trees, so you can really keep to yourself. There are also nine group sites, so you can book with your other families. The best part about this location is the activities. Seriously, there is so much to do here! You can lounge on the sandy beach or take advantage of the boat launch for a day out on the water, you can explore the market in July and August, can enjoy train rides around the premises, bring your kids to one (or all) of the six playgrounds, hang out at the arcade, play a round of mini golf, hop on the merry-go-round, and the list goes on. You can rent bikes, visit the movie theatre, or spend some time with the adorable farm animals.

As for amenities, you’ll find three bathrooms with showers, two laundry rooms, eight different dump stations, Grandma’s Kitchen where you can grab a bite to eat, a coffee and ice cream shop, firewood, propane, and more. How cool is that? If your kids are busy and love life on the move, you are in luck. Your little ones won’t be bored for a single second.

Willow Rock Campground

Willow Rock Campground is a beautiful destination in Bow Valley Provincial Park, about 30 km east of Canmore, Alberta. With views of the Rocky Mountains and beautiful creeks nearby, this place is the essence of time well spent in nature. There are both serviced and unserviced sites, some more open and some with serene privacy offered by trees. There is a playground for the little ones, showers, and flush toilets, so you don’t have to feel like you’re roughing it.
