Peters, Margaret Joyce
Margaret (Marg) Joyce Peters, 94, of Calgary passed away
August 12, 2023 at Bow View Manor long term care facility.
She was born on November 4, 1928 to Edward and Margaret (Madge)
Sumner of Stockton on Tees, England.
Marg and her mother immigrated to Calgary when Marg was 18 months old.
She married Alwen (Al) Peters in 1949 and they had their only child,
son Randall (Randy) in 1954.
Marg and Al lived in Banff for many years where Marg worked as a doctors’
office receptionist and later as a law court clerk for Banff and Canmore.
Marg received many accolades for her countless hours of volunteer work
for Calgary Police Victim’s Assistance and numerous other organizations.
Marg was widowed in 1986 and is survived by her sister Alice, son Randy
and daughter-in-law Royal.
Marg will be cremated and her ashes interred on Wednesday August 23 at
Eden Brook Cemetery with a reception to follow.
