DOERING, Terryl Anne (nee Carbol)

November 29, 1943 - Canmore, Alberta

September 20, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

The family of Terryl Doering (nee Carbol) is sad to announce her passing on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at the age of 79 years.

Terryl was born in Canmore, AB on November 29, 1943 and was a long time resident except for a brief move to Calgary. Terryl had a banking career that spanned over 20 years, but her true passion was for her cats. She was always in the company of a cat, either sitting beside her on the couch or curled up on her bed waiting for her to finish getting ready for bed. In all she had more cats than could be named here, but every one of her feline companions was very well taken care of and very loved. She said on many occasions that she preferred her feline company to that of the human variety. Terryl was an avid follower of the local wildlife in the Bow Valley. Her particular favourite were the bears. These stories were often retold and shared with family and friends.

Terryl is survived by daughters, Cori Doering of Toronto, ON and Marnie Coulson along with her husband Bill of Calgary, AB. Terryl is also survived by four grandchildren, Ashley Brown and husband Brent Beaumont of Toronto, ON, Cassandra Brown and husband Nathan Brown of Edmonton, AB, Megan Hoffman and partner Dean Medernach of Calgary, AB, and Krystle Upton and husband Jordan Upton of Calgary, AB; two great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Ethan, both of Toronto, Ontario; and her sister Linda Carbol of Airdrie, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Terryl was predeceased by her parents Eva and Charles Carbol.
