David worked for the Bank of Montreal from 1958-1964, BC Hydro from 1964-1969 and Canadian Airlines from 1969-1994.  In 1997 David moved from Vancouver to Canmore where he was a co-owner of Fairview Books and Gifts from 1996-2002. He worked for Petro Canada Canmore from 2002, Howard Johnson Hotel from 2002-2003, Four Points by Sheraton from 2005 - 2008, Mountain Esso from 2009-2015.  David enjoyed going for drives looking at the scenery, going for long walks and spending time with family and friends.  He was never happier than when he was with his family.

David was known for always smiling and providing a positive attitude.  He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

The family would like to thank Dr. Clem and the doctors and nurses at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital for all the care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember David are requested to please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in his memory.
