Vancouver Whitecaps, Montreal Impact stars receive 'Team of the Week' honours

There's plenty of Canadian content on Major League Soccer's final Team of the Week for the regular season.

Vancouver Whitecaps scoring ace Fredy Montero and goalkeeper Evan Bush both feature on the squad, alongside Montreal Impact forward Romell Quioto.

Montero put away two goals for Vancouver (9-14-0) as the 'Caps finished their season with a 3-0 victory over the L.A. Galaxy on Sunday.

Bush had six saves in the outing and collected his first clean sheet in a Whitecaps jersey.

Quioto proved the difference maker for Montreal (8-13-2) on Sunday, scoring in the 88th minute to lift the Impact to a 3-2 victory over D.C. United.

The win clinched a playoff spot for the Impact, and the club will now face the New England Revolution when the post-season begins on Nov. 20.

The Whitecaps did not make the playoffs for the third year in a row.
