BOW VALLEY TOURISM WEEK 2024 PHOTO CONTEST

This contest is sponsored by Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, Tourism Canmore Kananaskis, and the Banff & Lake Louise Hospitality Association (the sponsors) and is only open to Bow Valley residents whose primary address is in the mountain communities of Mînî Thnî, Kananaskis, MD of Bighorn, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Improvement District 9. The contest is governed by Canadian law and the laws of the Province of Alberta. No purchase necessary. See below for full contest details. Participation in this contest constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of, and agreement to be legally bound by, the contest rules (the “Contest Rules”).

CONTEST PERIOD

The contest opens on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time (“MDT”) and ends on Sunday April 21, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. MDT (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received prior to the end of the contest period. The contest winners will be announced and communicated by email on or before May 2, 2024 MDT to claim their prizes.

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to Bow Valley residents whose primary address is in the mountain communities of Mînî Thnî, Kananaskis, MD of Bighorn, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Improvement District 9, provided they have they have reached the age of majority in the province of Alberta at the time of entry. Winners must show valid government-issued photo ID and proof of primary address to collect their prize.

All employees of the sponsors, their respective advertising or promotional agencies, or family members with whom these employees are domiciled, are ineligible for participation in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND ACKNOWLEDGED THESE RULES AND MEET THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA.

WINNER SELECTION

The winning entries will be selected by a panel appointed by the Sponsors. Winning entries will be selected based on the theme of celebrating the tourism sector’s positive contribution to the Bow Valley.

Only one prize per person, contestants cannot win multiple prizes. Prizes cannot be swapped, exchanged or modified and will be awarded based on the prize contributions of the sponsors. Prizes and prize details are the responsibility of the sponsors. A total of six prizes are available, two of approximately $500 in value, two of approximately $750 in value, and two of approximately $1,000 in value.

Winners are responsible for all costs and expenses incurred or related to the use of prizes. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, substituted, redeemed, or added to in any way. Sponsors are not liable for any costs, damages, or accidents incurred when redeeming and using the Prizes. Sponsors may change the prize details prior to the draw date without any notice. All prizes will be based on the final communication from the Sponsors.

Prizes are to be collected at the Rocky Mountain Outlook office located at #201 1001 6th Avenue in Canmore, unless other arrangements are made at the discretion of the organizers. Government-issued photo identification with proof of address (e.g. driver license) is required for collection of the prizes.

By entering this contest, participants consent to the use of their names, and any photographs and captions submitted, without compensation, in any media by or on behalf of the Rocky Mountain Outlook, Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, Tourism Canmore Kananaskis and the Banff & Lake Louise Hospitality Association.

The decisions of the Sponsors are final and binding in all matters related to this contest.

GENERAL

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Sponsors with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.

Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsors that interferes with the intended conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsors – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsors in a timely manner may result in disqualification at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Proof of a valid Entry in this Contest will be received by 12:00 p.m. on April 30, 2024.

In the event of a dispute, Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address or Account submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an online entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email address at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that the individual is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected Entry.

Proof of a valid Entry in this Contest will be received by 12:00 p.m. on April 30, 2024.

Winners of the Contest are responsible for all costs and expenses incurred or related to the use of the prize. Sponsors are not liable for any costs, damages, or accidents incurred when redeeming and using the Prizes.
