THORSBY, Alta. — Two people have died in a plane crash near a community southwest of Edmonton.
RCMP Cpl. Deanna Fontaine says the small aircraft went down in a field near Thorsby on Saturday afternoon.
Fontaine says there were two occupants aboard, and both are deceased.
She says police are holding off on releasing further details until next-of-kin are notified.
The Transportation Safety Board says it is sending a team of investigators to the crash site.
