COCHRANE— Cochrane RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in locating two missing children and two adults.

They were all last seen at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday (March 12) at the children’s home, a rural residence in Cochrane.

Cochrane RCMP with assistance from the RCMP Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the disappearance.

A press release from the RCMP noted an Amber Alert was not issued for the missing girls as the cases did not meet the needed thresholds.

"The RCMP do not have evidence to indicate that the threshold has been met. Further comments about the rationale behind this will not be provided in an effort to protect aspects of this investigation," reads the statement.

The disappearance of the children is currently being investigated as an abduction involving their grandmother and aunt.
