LETTER: Come back with a sensible redevelopment plan and charge for parking like everywhere else in the world. Developers are in the business of making money, not giving away freebies.

LETTER: Now, as a result of this deliberate approach, Banffites are forced to confront an ugly and damaging plan to increase residential density.

LETTER: Requiring those who have the means to purchase a second home, probably because of unearned privilege and luck, to pay their fair share, is the definition of equity.

LETTER: I just want to give a big shout-out and thanks to all of the Nordic groomers at the Canmore Nordic Centre, Mount Shark and in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.

LETTER: Canada should shift its environmental policy from imposing high carbon taxes to providing low-cost green energy globally.

LETTER: Before the first Canadian Pacific Railway passenger train rolled into Siding 29 in Banff, CPR was marketing Banff to the world.

LETTER: This is that glorious season when your friends or family start sending you beautiful photos of cherry trees blooming in Victoria, but on a recent walk around the Bow River in Canmore all I could see blooming was dog poop in various forms of decay.

LETTER: As a former Banff resident and frequent visitor since 1994, I have continued to follow with interest the Railway Lands area redevelopment plan (ARP) process, most recently council's special meeting for the public hearing on March 20.

LETTER: Actually, most whistles disappeared with the demise of steam locomotives, unless CPKC Rail was running the empress on a special trip. Nowadays, diesel-electric engines use electric horns. Same purpose, different way of doing it.

LETTER: I encourage Canmore residents to request council to reconsider its preliminary support of the program.
