OHL Roundup: West-leading Windsor Spitfires cruise past Guelph Storm 4-1

WINDSOR, Ont. — Matthew Maggio and Alex Christopoulos each had a goal and an assist as the Windsor Spitfires topped the Guelph Storm 4-1 on Wednesday.

Maggio's two-point effort added to his OHL-leading totals of 52 goals and 109 points this season.

Shane Wright and Aidan Castle contributed the others for Western Conference-leading Windsor (43-17-4-2). Joey Costanzo turned aside 27 shots.

Cooper Walker ended Costanzo's shutout bid 11:29 into the third period for Guelph (33-28-4-1). Brayden Gillespie made 32 saves.

ERIE, PA. — Francesco Pinelli picked up a hat trick and the Kitchener Rangers cruised past the Erie Otters 6-1.

Francesco Arcuri, Reid Valade and Carson Rehkopf added the others for Kitchener (33-28-5). Marco Costantini made 25 saves.

Spencer Sova was the lone scorer for Erie (20-39-2-5), which got 40 stops from Nolan Lalonde in its eighth straight loss.

Gabriel Frasca and Maddox Callens also scored for Kingston (26-37-1-2). Ivan Zhigalov made 28 saves.

Beckett Sennecke and Ben Danford replied for Oshawa (25-35-1-5). Jacob Oster turned away 24-of-29 shots before Carter Bickle stopped 4-of-4 shots in 8:56 of relief.
