Table Food + Drink Launches Delicious New Breakfast Menu

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at Table Food + Drink at Canmore’s Coast Hotel it’s also the most delicious with the new breakfast menu. Gorgeous a la carte dishes replace the breakfast buffet Table offered over the last few years and the culinary team is exercising craft and creativity with some delicious options.

We began with the Avocado Toast, which was beautiful, colourful and fresh making it the perfect start to a day in the beautiful Bow Valley. The chewy sourdough stands up well to a creamy avocado, topped with a soft-boiled egg. Garnished with zippy red radish and plated with fresh fruit, the dish looks as good as it tastes. The toast is accompanied by a brown-butter hash that features golden potatoes perfectly done, which give a warm savoury counterpoint to the brightness of the main dish. The new menu also features a mushroom toast with sauteed cremini, shitake, shimeji and other mushrooms.

If you’re looking for something sweet for breakfast, we highly recommend the French Toast. We went with the fresh berries version (there’s a savoury ham and cheese version as well) and were delighted when it arrived at our table. Adorned with a colourful berry medley and pink chantilly cream, this dish features golden fried toast with a hint of cinnamon and a berry compote between the two slices. The tangy compote lends acidity to the richness of the bread and sweetness of the cream. Those delicious potatoes also accompany this dish.

Other highlights of the new menu include a smoky shakshuka with grilled naan, a duck confit waffle dish and an omelette. Can’t decide? Go with the classic Coast Breakfast. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, the menu offers a beautiful parfait or try the hearty oatmeal.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the well-appointed dining room with great views of the mountains and anchored by a large fireplace that gives the space a warm and inviting atmosphere.
