A Taste for Community

People are at the heart of Patrinos’ operations

Canmore’s Patrino’s Steakhouse owner Dallen Lozowchuk gets pretty animated when he’s talking about what’s happening at the family restaurant his team bought three years ago. It’s plain to see that he’s passionate about the business - but for him, it’s more than plates on tables and bottom lines. Patrino’s is a hub at the centre of a community that includes staff, suppliers, families, sports teams, wedding parties and all sorts of folks who come here to relax and enjoy some great food at a fair price with the people they care about.

“We came through the last two years pretty well,” he says. “Everybody pitched in. We really invested in people. We wanted to make sure our kitchen crew was solid. We wanted to make sure everyone was paid fairly so that when the time came to ramp up again, we’d be ready and running smoothly.”

Having taken care of one side of the equation, Dallen focussed on the customer side to make sure Patrino’s offered what patrons wanted at a price they could afford. The result is a terrific menu of high-quality food with something for everyone and specials all week.

Daily specials include nachos on Mondays, chicken finger Tuesdays, wing Wednesdays and spaghetti Thursdays.

“We looked at what was most popular with our patrons and gave them a break on the price once a week,” says Dallen. The bar side also offers a fun cocktail of the month and premium spirits at regular prices for the grown-ups.

Patrino’s pizza is legendary in the Bow Valley, and if you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favour and pop in or order for delivery. You won’t go away hungry.

And the offering isn’t limited to the evening meal. Plenty of breakfast and lunch options grace  the menu. Soups of the day will keep you warm, lunch pastas will fuel your afternoon, and a delicious assortment of Bennies make for a delicious brunch. We had the smoked salmon and were delighted with the fresh fish, chewy muffin and a delicious hollandaise that topped it all off. The waffle was also a hit with crisp, golden batter topped with fresh berries and from-scratch whipped cream. It was almost as pretty as the view of Mounts Lady MacDonald and Grotto outside the windows.

Day or night, Patrino’s is your home away from home for fun, friends, family and food. Open 11-11 Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. - 11 p.m. on weekends.
