WATCH: Canmore Eagles alum's beauty goal takes No. 1 spot on ESPN's Top 10

A former Eagles captain's sweet goal caused some buzz at ESPN.

MICHIGAN – Former Canmore Eagles captain Colton Young's sweet between the legs goal blazed its way to the very top of ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 on Jan. 8.

The speedy forward from Colgate University broke out alone early in the second against Northern Michigan Wildcats' goalie Rico DiMatteo and took the netminder to school in dazzling fashion.

It was Young's 11th goal of the 2021-22 season.

Young, 23, played for the Eagles from 2015-19 and scored 57 goals and 157 regular season points.

The Young family has a lot of history with the local Junior A club. Kyle Young currently plays forward for the team and Alex, another Eagles alum and current Colgate centre, was drafted to the San Jose Sharks in 2020.
