Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours™ was founded by Connie and Charles in 1983 when Canmore was a quiet coal mining town. Connie's father was one of Alberta's first park rangers. Growing up living in the parks nurtured her love and respect for the outdoors. A true pioneer, Connie wanted to share her passion for dog sledding and the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Snowy Owl were the first company to offer dog sled tours in the Bow Valley.

Today, Snowy Owl is a thriving family owned business operated by Connie’s son, Jereme and his wife Caitlin, who met on a tour one Valentine’s Day! They have a 2-year old son named Atlas, as well as Jereme’s daughters Ariel and Alice. Snowy Owl remain pioneers, they are the only company to offer self-driven sleds as well as their Destination Canada Signature Experience two day overnight tour. What could be more Canadian than commanding your own team of huskies in the remote wilderness?

With over 3 decades of expertise, Snowy Owl are renowned for their unparalleled tours, unmatched advocacy in sled dog welfare and their commitment to excellence!
