A look at the past week in photography in the Bow Valley as it appeared in the pages of the Rocky Mountain Outlook.

“The primary cause of this is the difficult year we’ve all been through. I can appreciate how that would have slowed down the work the developer is doing. I’m certain the developer would like to get these subdivisions to the point where they can be selling the lot. This seems like a straightforward request.”

Canadian Rockies Public Schools will mandate masks in all common areas of schools, while masks are voluntary at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy. Masks must be worn on buses at both school divisions as per Alberta Health Services' regulations.

“Because most of the buffaloberry crop has not been very good this year, I think there’s going to be some hungry bears looking for other food sources."

As voters prepare to head to the polls for a federal election on Sept. 20, the current governing party has unveiled its candidate for the Banff-Airdrie riding.

“The way we stay relevant, helpful and meaningful is to evolve but the key thread throughout the existence of Friends of Kananaskis is our trail stewardship and our trail care program. That continues to be our strength in how we engage the community. There’s a real community engagement in that program where people can give back to the trails they love.”

Blake Richards, the member of Parliament for the Conservative Party and the incumbent the Banff-Airdrie riding, submitted his nomination to run in the upcoming federal election on Sept. 20.
