RCMP looking for suspect in sex assault on Central Alberta rural highway

OLDS — RCMP are asking for the public's help to find a suspect in an alleged sexual assault.

Three Hills RCMP received a report of an incident on Oct. 27.

"Three Hills RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on a rural road near Torrington, Alta., close to Highway 27," police said in a release issued Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Torrington is about 36 kilometres east of Olds on Highway 27.

The suspect is believed to be a 25-30-year-old man who was driving a black or dark blue 1980s model GMC truck that was missing its rear view mirror.

The suspect is described as being about five-feet, nine-inches tall with an average build. He had short hair and a fair complexion.
He was wearing a brown hoodie, blue jeans and a black baseball cap with a white Boston Red Sox logo on it.

Anyone with information about this incident, or can identify the suspect, is asked to contact the Three Hills RCMP at 403-443-5539.
