While last year's March 14 VINEart gala was cancelled due to COVID, organizers with the YWCA Banff are bringing the event to you at home with a virtual experience and fundraiser on March 25.

Parks Canada is hoping to capture and collar wolves in the Bow Valley pack to track their movements and monitor behaviour.

“We want to create a place that offers people somewhere that they’re really comfortable and really happy to be.”

“We were actually very hopeful late last week that we were going to be able to report zero active cases today, but a few new cases were reported very late last week and through the weekend," said Silvio Adamo, the Town of Banff’s director of emergency management.

“All of these folks are asymptomatic travellers that have recently returned to Canada, I believe, to try to stay ahead of the Feb. 22 restrictions that came into effect," said Silvio Adamo, Banff's director of emergency management.

“We have seen some pretty aggressive colour schemes on residential dwellings," said Randall McKay, Banff's manager of strategic priorities and special projects.

“We have seen steady increases in terms of visitation to the park. We have certainly heard from Canadians that they would like to look at how we best manage this iconic place into the future.”

The show must go on.

“This is not overly unusual, but it’s a little on the larger side for this area. It is part of the ongoing low-grade tectonic activity in the Rocky Mountains, but it’s not necessarily a prelude to anything super exciting.”

White Mountain Adventures has requested Canmore town council make changes to allow the local company to pilot a guided e-bike tour on local trails.
